Our Inspiration

SRMIS was founded in loving memory of our beloved grandparents, Shrimati Soorajmukhi, Shri Ramavtar Yadav, whose lives were devoted to the values of education, kindness, and community.

Inspired by their legacy, SRMIS was built not just as a school, but as a living tribute—a place where children learn with joy, grow with integrity, and dream without limits.

Rooted in the ancient wisdom of the Katha Upanishad, our school’s motto is both a timeless call to action and a guiding light for our educational journey.

“Arise” – We encourage every student to rise with purpose—to step forward with confidence, leaving behind fear, self-doubt, and inertia.
“Awake” – To awaken is to become aware—of oneself, one’s potential, and the world around us. We nurture alert, thoughtful, and inquisitive minds that question, explore, and understand.
